Nissan Pivo concept was first seen at the Tokyo motor show in October 2005. This new car model from Nissan examines the potential of the electric vehicle in a city environment.
Pivo prototype it's powered by a high performance compact lithium-ion battery and electric super motor, both developed in house.
The egg-shaped revolving body of this Nissan prototype car has other benefits. Access is easy through tall, electrically-powered sliding doors and "see-through" pillars and all-round monitors almost eliminate blind spots.
Cameras mounted on the outside of each A-pillar relay an accurate picture of the surroundings to screens within the pillars turning them into virtual windows.
